More than a tailoring house, Butts & Co. is a celebration of the world’s finest materials, a deep respect for sartorial history, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Every garment begins with cloth sourced from some of the most prestigious mills in the world—where tradition and excellence are woven into every thread.

 

At the heart of the brand is founder Calvin Butts, whose journey in menswear spans nearly a decade and reflects a rare depth of experience in the luxury fashion industry. His career began after graduation with a role as Men’s Footwear Manager at Holt Renfrew. He later played an integral part in launching Brooks Brothers’ 41st international flagship in Calgary and was involved in the opening of Nordstrom’s first Canadian location.

One of the most formative chapters in his career came during his time with Loro Piana, one of the world’s most esteemed luxury brands. It was here that he deepened his appreciation for the artistry of fine materials and elevated tailoring. However, the foundation of his expertise was built through a five-year apprenticeship under a third-generation Italian tailor—an experience that provided rare insight into traditional techniques that are seldom taught or practiced today, particularly in Canada.

Mr. Butts' path has also included work with iconic fashion showrooms such as Tommy Hilfiger, Lands' End, and Karl Lagerfeld, each contributing to the evolution of his aesthetic and business vision. These experiences culminated in the creation of Butts & Co., a brand dedicated to delivering uncompromising quality, personalized service, and timeless design.

This elegant new space marks the next chapter in the brand’s evolution and will serve as Calgary’s first premier tailor shop—a place where craft, elegance, and individuality meet.
